Happy Monday, loves!
In 9 hours, I’ll be road tripping with the little ones
to visit my sis in North Carolina for 9 days,
so before I completely unplug,
I wanted to share some snapshots of projects
that I’ve been cranking out for Edyn’s room.
I know. I know.
It’s not my bedroom.
I decided to briefly press pause in there
to finish the twins’ rooms
before they start preschool on September 9.
The summer got away from me.
Seriously.
What happened to the month of July?!
Anyhow, if you know my style,
strong and bold colors aren’t in the mix.
I’ve dreamt of a little girl’s room with faded pinks and white
since I found out a baby girl was on the way.
Here’s the thing…
Edyn isn’t a faded pink child.
She’s my little hippie “Woodstock”,
carefree,
curious,
sassy
(in a confident, not diva way),
bright,
and
vibrant
little girl
who doesn’t want a pink room.
Sugar.
While her (and Grey’s) favorite color is purple like her mama (aw!),
I decided to splash a little more color into her space…
…against soft grays and white, of course.
Now, I’m not saying this to be cute or exaggerated:
My eyeballs go off like balls in a pinball machine in there at the moment.
I just want my corneas to land somewhere,
to move together in synchronicity,
to find peace and harmony.
;)
While I have loved working with more color,
I can’t promise you that it won’t be edited down to splashes of purples
upon my return, but I’m gonna fight the good fight
and try to give my little sweetie a color splashed room,
inspired by European storefronts.
When planning Edyn’s room,
I created a Pinterest board filled with boutique storefronts
and asked her to choose her favorites, which were…

Edyn has a great little eye for vibrant colors, doesn’t she?
They are all so belle!
(I should mention that looking AT and living WITH are entirely separate.)
When I return from vacation,
I have a twinkling fairy nightstand and a dollhouse to finish,
and then I’ll get to work on two more little projects
before putting a checkmark in the DONE box.
I hope you have a beautiful week!
What colors are your (or your little ones’) rooms?
love,
Jami

Here’s a {colorful} coupon for you!
The button has a permanent spot in my sidebar,
so always be sure to check my blog for the latest coupon code
when you want to place an order with The Good Home Co.
They are launching over 30 custom scents this month.
While I’m addicted to Beach Days, I can’t wait to try some of the new ones.
I’ll share more soon,
but for now, I just wanted to let to know
that there’s a coupon over there!
